Yemen, Spain to sign security agreement

By Mohammed al-Kibsi Yemen and Spain discussed preparations for signing a bilateral security cooperation agreement and to assign a security attaché in the Spanish embassy in Sana'a, Saba news agency said on Sunday. This came in a meeting brought together Yemeni new Interior Minister Abdul-Qader Qahtan and Spanish ambassador to Yemen Francisco Javier Hergueta Garnica. Qahtan and Garnica also reviewed the security cooperation relations between Yemen and Spain and the means to enhance them. The Spanish ambassador asserted his country's readiness to provide all aid in the security areas to stabilize the situations in Yemen, voicing his satisfaction at the positive actions achieved to implement the reconciliation deal brokered by the GCC and backed by the Security Council.
