Yemen anti-terror forces kill al-Qaeda high profile, 6 others

The anti terror security forces have killed "the information minister" of the notorious group Al-Qaeda, Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced.
Ibrahim Al-Banna, known as in charge of information affairs for Al-Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula, was killed in a raid, carried out by the security troops in eastern province of Shabwa, the ministry said in a statement released, late on Friday.
Al-Banna, an Egyptian national, was killed along with six other terrorists in the operation, last night, in the region of Ezzan, the official statement said.
The operation was carried out as part of continuous efforts by the government to combat terrorism, in coordination with the international community, it added.
The notorious Al-Qaeda chief is one of the most dangerous members of Al-Qaeda, it said.
He is wanted for a series of acts of terrorism and sabotage against national and foreign interests.
Al-Banna had also been involved in carrying out terrorist operations outside Yemen.
