Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi discussed with European ambassadors to Yemen the exerted efforts for solving ongoing crisis in the country in is meeting with the EU diplomats in Sana’a on Monday.
Hadi acknowledged the diplomats over his communication and meetings with different political, social and partisan powers aiming to find a solution to the crisis, as well as the developments based on the Gulf initiative, its implementation mechanism and the Security Council's statement.
“The crisis's peaceful and safe solution is via dialogue and full cooperation with all sides in the country,” Vice President said, voicing his appreciation for assistances presented by the EU's states to Yemen.
"The stage is still difficult but slighter than before. We are about to reach a comprehensive agreement" Hadi said.
On behalf of the ambassadors, European Union ambassador Michele Cervone d'Urso valued the Vice President's efforts to avoid dragging the country into dangerous disasters.
D'Urso pointed to the importance of moving forward to rabidly to put an end to the crisis through the Gulf initiative, asserting the readiness to present all required support in this regard.
Bedsides d'Urso, the meeting gathered French ambassador Joseph Silva, German ambassador Holger Green, Spanish ambassador Francisco Javier Hergueta Garnica, Dutch ambassador Lyon Kuliner and British deputy ambassador to Yemen Fiona Gibb.
President Saleh had authorized his deputy Abdu Raboo Mansour Hadi to sign power transfere deal with the opposition based on the GCC initiative.
