The website of the ruling party almotamar.net published a document allegedly issued by the commander of the defected army General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar on Wednesday.
The published document that was issued on May 10, 2011 instructs the operation theater of the First Armor Division to inform certain groups to implement a plan for fighting policemen and to kill some demonstrators so as to blame the government for killing them.
The letter instructs group A to engage with the policemen and fight them using sticks and knives.
The same letter incites other groups to explode some mines among the protestors and to assign snipers to kill some unidentified demonstrators.
It says that group G has to prepare some mines that are available with the group S and to explode 18 mines among the protestors that are located near group A.
The document also instructs group F to prepare all snipers that are located in the houses along the track of the demonstration to fire at the protestors immediately after group A engages with the policemen and that they should kill at least 70 protestors.
The instructions also included directions for group G that are on the ambulance vehicle (2BT) to hand over the weapons that are with them to group m and to direct them to fire at the youth that are unidentified.
The instructions concluded saying “ You will be informed later about the deadline of the operation and you have to consider all previous orders,”.
The website stated that the document was released by an officer affiliated to the First Armor Division and that the officer released this document after he defected from the defected army and came back to the legitimate forces that are loyal to the president and to the constitutional legitmacey.
Meanwhile Yemen Post newspaper that is close to the Islamic Islah party and is loyal to General Ali Mohsen reported that Gerald Fierstein, the U.S ambassador to Yemen met early on Wednesday with defected General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar. The paper said that since his defection in March this year, the General has vowed to protect and defend the revolutionary movement which demands the immediate departure from power of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The paper added that Mohsen’s office told the Yemen Post that the two men discussed the current situation, studying ways to move the negotiating process forward. The U.S ambassador congratulated Yemen’s most powerful military men on his restraint in the crisis, adding that his attitude from the beginning was commendable.
The paper added that the General warned against the regime’s provocations, saying that cutting off people from basic utilities such as electricity, water and fuel was only feeding popular resentment against Saleh and his loyalists. The General also stressed that besieging the capital, Sana’a by blocking all its access roads could be interpreted as a step forward a military conflict.
The paper added that Fierstein repeated that he wished for the GCC brokered proposal to be agreed upon by both parties since he felt that it was Yemen’s best chance to solve the crisis peacefully.
